7. Where does the feed come from?
Where possible, all feedstuffs are home grown in Australia and sourced from local producers. The ration is specialised for long fed and wagyu cattle but would be a mix of predominately steam flaked grain (wheat, barley, sorghum, corn), silage, straw and cereal hay liquid supplement, molasses, vegetable oil and protein meal.
All feed ingredients must have an accompanying Safemeat Commodity Vendor Declaration to guarantee the feedstuffs are of the highest integrity.
Feed is analysed monthly to ensure the nutritional value for each ration is correctly formulated.
